About a year after its original 1986 theatrical premiere, Labyrinth was released on home video in several formats. VHS, BetaMAX, 8 mm, and laser disc.
In 1994 it was re-released on laser disc in widescreen, or letterbox, format.
In 1998 it was issued on DVD and simultaneously re-released on VHS.
Documentary
There is a one hour making of the movie and behind the scenes documentary called "Into the Labyrinth."
Originally released in 1986 on VHS in the US and Japan, and laser disc in Japan, it was released on DVD with the movie in 1998.
A shortened version of the documentary appears on the 1998 VHS re-release.
Promos
Music Videos:
Music videos for "Underground" and "As the World Falls Down" were filmed. "Underground" appeared on US television in 1986-7 but "As the World Falls Down" was never released until 1997 with David Bowie: The Video Collection on VHS and laser disc.
A two minute preview "trailer" was issued to movie theatres in 1986. Occasionally these can be found on eBay.
